The scent of the city, bottled!
Brief:
How to stand out from fierce competition in place branding without famous sights and huge budget?
Idea:
Let's turn the smells of the city into a saleable perfume! The city of Pori invited talented perfumer Max Perttula to sniff around the city and construct a perfume out of those experiences. The goal was to evoke new senses in place marketing.

- The perfume sold out twice
- It’s been a huge discussion point on social media
- It has been featured in national media several times
- Hundreds of people are still queuing online to get the perfume when the next batch is produced.
- 2,1 M€ earned media value
- 5,1 million people reached in Finland
